WASHINGTON - Danish firm Terma and Marvin Engineering signed a memorandum of understanding Wednesday at the Paris Air Show, confirming the former's continued involvement in the production of F-35 Lightning II fighter jets.

The memorandum states that Marvin Engineering, based in Inglewood, California, will continue to offer Terma component work for the F-35 "beyond Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lots 9 and 10 provided Terma remains the best-value source," according to a Terma news release.

The two companies have worked together since 2003, when Terma entered into a preliminary memorandum of understand with Marvin Engineering to manufacture air-to-ground pylons for all three versions of the F-35.

"The agreement we signed today is strong evidence of Terma's present and future position on the F-35 program and it shows how collaboration can benefit Terma, Danish Industry, and the F-35 program as a whole," Terma President and CEO Yens Maaløe said in the news release.
