Engility will provide consulting for US Air Force space programs

WASHINGTON — Engility has been awarded a $42 million contract to assist the U.S. Air Force's space and missile systems directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base in determining if equipment and vehicles are ready for space.

The Virginia-based company consults for defense, federal, civilian, intelligence and space needs. Its team of engineers will conduct reviews on space-bound equipment, ensuring it performs reliably throughout its mission lifespan.

"This new win deepens our partnership with the Space and Missile Systems Center and Air Force Space Command," Engility CEO Lynn Dugle said. "Our team will deliver in-depth domain knowledge and systems expertise to help the Air Force enhance the safety and performance of space vehicles."

They will conduct reviews specifically on software, avionics, electrical, propulsion, structure and mechanical systems. The contract is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, firm fixed-price task order.
