A global armored vehicle supplier has announced its acquisition of two German-based armoring companies.

The Armored Group’s acquisition of JPA Armoring and Fahrzeugbau Stadthagen includes the two companies’ manufacturing facilities, tools, fixtures, intellectual property, designs, certifications and testing results, according to a TAG news release.

The resulting company will be known as TAG Germany GmbH. Friday’s news release did not mention the value of the acquisition.

TAG intends to retain key employees and will add staff as production increases, the company said.

“This acquisition is important to TAG as it brings the company increased market share in Europe and strengthens our service capabilities for global customers,” said Robert Pazderka, president of TAG. “It enables TAG to compete for business around the globe while we continue to build the best product and maintain the highest quality standards.”

TAG said the purchase will improve its access to European-based customers and benefit European production capacity.

“TAG’s primary objective has always been to create the most secure and survivable environment for the occupants and operators of our vehicles. This mission extends to all our production locations and remains at the forefront of our culture,” Pazderka said.
