Mr. Frank Tuck

Frank Tuck (SES) is director of the Air Combat System Program Office, Aeronautical Systems Center, Air Force Materiel Command, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. As director, his responsibilities include planning, acquisition and sustainment activities related to the Air Combat Command.

He entered the Air Force in 1970 after earning his degree in mechanical engineering at Tuskegee Institute. While in the Air Force, he obtained his master’s degree in business administration at the University of Rochester, and then was assigned to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a systems acquisition officer. After leaving the Air Force, he entered federal civil service. He also has attended a number of senior management and leadership courses, including two at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and one at Johns Hopkins University.

Tuck has worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as business and financial manager for the Air Traffic Systems Development Office, and as deputy director for the Communications, Navigation and Surveillance Systems Development Office. He has managed and directed a variety of Air Force acquisitions programs, including engine support equipment projects, numerous common and standard avionics programs, electronic warfare systems and major aircraft programs. He also has served as director of technology and industrial support at the Sacramento Air Logistics Center.
