WASHINGTON — The US Senate Armed Services Committee advanced seven high-profile Defense Department nominees Wednesday, including Robert Work, to be deputy defense secretary and Vice Adm. Michael Rogers to be the head of US Cyber Command.
The panel also advanced the nominations of Christine Wormuth to become DoDís undersecretary for policy, and Air Force Gen. Paul Selva to become the commander of US Transportation Command.
Also approved by the committee were Michael McCord, nominated to be Pentagon comptroller; David Shear, to become DoDís assistant secretary for Asian and Pacific security affairs; and Eric Rosenbach to become DoDís assistant secretary for homeland defense.
The committee forwarded all of the nominations to the full Senate for a vote. ■
