The Defense Department is a year into a major effort to introduce mobile devices—particularly smartphones and tablets—into tactical operations, training scenarios and office environments. The progress toward enterprise mobility for the DoD is rooted in more than 50 pilot programs focusing on security, identity management and survivability.
On the front lines of those efforts is Michael McCarthy, the Director of Operations at the U.S. Army Brigade Modernization Command. McCarthy has helped push through some of DoD’s most ambitious mobile pilot projects including issuing 2,500 devices across the Army.
Register today for C4ISR & Networks’ 13th Annual C4ISR Conference to be held May 5-6, 2014 to hear McCarthy address progress being made on the way to full deployment across DoD.
