Marines consider trading DISA for commercial cloud

The Marine Corps might choose a commercial cloud provider to host the Global Combat Support System, according to a report in NextGov.

DISA hosts the system now, but the Marines issued a recent request for information seeking insight into what is commercially available. DISA is generally considered the cloud broker for the Defense Department.

The GCSS is an enterprise logistics system with 30,000 users.
