Raytheon creates electronic warfare mission area

Raytheon has combined its several of its electronic warfare (EW) programs into a new "mission area" called Electronic Warfare Systems.

The new division, which will be at the company's facility in El Segundo, Calif., includes the Next Generation Jammer, EW Self Protection Systems, EW Communications Systems, Advanced EW Programs, Airborne Information Operations programs. It will be headed by Travis Slocumb, the former vice president of strategy and business development for Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems unit.

"This new mission area will focus our resources and expertise to provide the technology systems and advanced capabilities our warfighters need to effectively and safely execute their mission," said Rick Yuse, president of the Space and Airborne Systems business.
