WASHINGTON — Defense News and VisualDoD have created a strategic partnership to integrate VisualDoD’s data and analytics with Defense News’ reporting on defense spending to provide advanced coverage of defense spending.
The arrangement with VisualDoD covers all of Gannett Government Media’s titles, including C4ISR&Networks, Federal Times and the Military Times Media Group.
Gannett’s reporters and editors will have tailored access to VisualDoD’s budget and spending data, including its suite of search, forecasting and portfolio development tools. Reporters and editors will be able to build and maintain defense market data sets tailored to their research.
“These new capabilities offered by VisualDoD will allow us to deliver news and analysis with unprecedented speed, depth and clarity,” said Tobias Naegele, vice president and general manager for Defense News and Armed Forces Journal. “Industry decision-makers rely on Defense News for breaking news and analysis, and VisualDoD’s tools will enhance our ability to put critical budget decisions in context more quickly and more precisely than ever before.”
“We are thrilled that Gannett has chosen to exclusively partner with us to invigorate how both firms approach their core objectives of delivering informative defense market insight to our customers,” said Michael Cadenazzi, CEO and Founder of VisualDoD. “Gannett’s deep expertise and strong relationships across the global defense space combined with our visualization, collaboration and analysis tools will change how defense companies, large and small, approach their information needs in the market.”
The size and volatility of global defense markets, which are served by an estimated 30,000 firms worldwide, require companies to distill huge volumes of information to keep pace with change. This agreement allows both VisualDoD and Gannett to break down government spending data, spot trends and anomalies, and explain those facts in clear language.
