American IR Solutions, LLC and AIM Infrarot-Module GmbH have announced their collaboration to provide high-performance cooled infrared imaging.

American IR will market, design, integrate and support AIM components and subsystems. Both companies excel in applications requiring high-performance cryogenically cooled long-wave infrared and medium-wave infrared (MWIR) focal plane technologies, according to the American IR announcement.

AIRS, which began operating less than 18 months ago, offers cooled infrared imaging cameras and other products. German-based AIM develops and manufactures infrared detectors and thermal sights as well as Stirling cooling engines required for the operation of detectors at cryogenic temperatures.
