Vice Adm. Michael S. Rogers will be the White House nominee to replace Gen. Keith Alexander as the head of U.S. Cyber Command and the National Security Agency, according to published reports.

Citing unnamed sources, the Washington Post reported on Jan. 25 that President Obama approved Rogers as the nominee following a personal interview. Rogers, a Navy cryptologist, has widely been considered the frontrunner for the nomination.
