Army names new commanding generals

The Army has named new commanding generals for its Network Enterprise Technology Command and 7th Signal Command (Theater), the service announced Wednesday.

Brig. Gen. John Morrison Jr., is now commander for the Army Network Enterprise Technology Command in Fort Huachuca, Ariz. He previously served as commanding general of the 7th Signal Command (Theater).

Brig. Gen. John Baker will serve as the new commander of the 7th Signal Command (Theater), in Fort Gordon, Ga. Baker had been director, J/6, of U.S. Central Command.

The 7th Signal Command (Theater) provides Army enterprise network capabilities in the Army North and Army South areas of operation and is one of five theater Signal Commands worldwide, according to the commandís website. The command also is a subordinate element of Army Cyber Command.
