The Defense Department inspector general has begun an audit to determine whether the combatant commands have enough cyber personnel and support from U.S. Cyber Command.
The audit, announced today on the DoD IG’s Twitter feed, will look into the level of mission resourcing for cyber operations at the COCOMs.
The audit will be performed at Fort Meade, Md. — the home of Cyber Command — and at Camp. H.M. Smith, Hawaii, according to a memo from Daniel Blair, the DoD deputy IG for auditing.
