Harris Corporation has won a $100 million follow-on order to provide the Australian Department of Defense with additional tactical radios.

The contract calls for additional Falcon III AN/PRC-152 handheld radios and vehicular adapters, as well as Falcon II AN/PRC-150(C) high-frequency manpack radios.

Harris is providing support through its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Newstead, Brisbane, and its Logistics Center in Pinkeba, Queensland. “We deeply value our partnership with the Australian Department of Defense as it embarks on its long-term goal of creating a next-generation wideband tactical communications network,” said Brendan O’Connell, president for international business at Harris RF Communications.

The Falcon III AN/PRC-152 is also used in the U.S. Joint Tactical Radio System. The Falcon II AN/PRC-150(C) is a military Type-1 HF radio.
