Lockheed Martin was awarded a $105 million contract modification to support operations of the Milstar communications satellites and the Defense Satellite Communications System.

The award is a modification to an existing cost-plus-award-fee contract, according to a Defense Department announcement.

Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2014.

Fiscal 2014 operations and maintenance funds in the amount of $17.5 million are being obligated at time of award.
