The Army is seeking a new communications intelligence package to be installed on a De Havilland DHC-8-300 aircraft.
The Army wants a COMINT collection system with a technology readiness level of at least 7, meaning an operational prototype, according to the request for information by the Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD) at the Communications, Electronics, Research, Development and Engineering Command (CERDEC).
The COMINT collection system must be able to provide direction finding, recognition, copy and exploitation. It also must be controllable by four onboard operators using DCGS-A workstations or remote workstations. Signal identification and target location must be accurate enough to support target development, target tracking, and multisensor cross-cueing.
