Elbit has sold a jam-proof GPS system to an unspecified Asia-Pacific country. Elisra, an Elbit subsidiary, will deliver the iSNS GPS ECCM system.

Covering extensive geographical areas, the modular and cost-effective system provides full jamming immunity for multiple satellite channels and handles multiple interfering signals and/or jammers operating on concurrent frequencies, said an Elisra announcement.

iSNS utilizes multi-steering technology to protect GPS signals. It does not require prior knowledge of GPS satellite locations, and only minimal integration with the GPS receiver is needed, according to Elisra. The equipment can also be installed as an independent add-on kit.

Elisra describes iSNS as being suited for airborne platforms, remotely operated vehicles, vehicles, mobile C4ISR systems and ships.
