L-3 Unmanned Systems has released VideoScout-GO (VS-GO), an integrated handheld video terminal that receives and records full-motion video.

VS-GO comprises a 4.3-inch sunlight-readable screen, as well as a fully integrated digital video recorder. Users can remotely downlink live surveillance images and geospatial data directly from airborne, mobile and ground fixed sensors via analog and digital waveforms. The device uses L-3’s Insyte collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination software.

“We are extremely excited to announce this first in a family of handheld FMV exploitation tools designed in conjunction with our partner, L-3 Communication Systems-West,” said James Gear, vice president of strategic business development at L-3 Unmanned Systems.

“VS-GO is a powerful combination of a small form factor viewer with robust DVR and exploitation software for superior situational awareness on the move. The system is further enhanced with L-3 CS-West’s Soldier Integrated Radio (SIR), which delivers field-proven communications performance.”
