Maj. Gen. Alan Lynn on Monday officially took the reins as vice director at the Defense Information Systems Agency.

In May, the Army announced that Lynn would be leaving his post as the commanding general of Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) for Fort Meade.

Lynn served as DISA’s chief of staff from July 2007 to October 2008, according to the agency. Lynn replaces Rear Adm. David Simpson, who had served as vice director since July 2011.
