Insitu Inc. has been awarded a $300,000,000 contract to support ScanEagle UAVs operated by Special Operations Command (SOCOM).

The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, which was not competitive, includes replacement UAVs, spare parts and in-theater field service representatives to supplement naval special warfare personnel who operate the ScanEagles, according to the Department of Defense contract announcement.

The work will be performed in Bingen, Wash., and is scheduled to be completed by September 2016. The contracting authority is Naval Air Systems Command. The award continues a winning streak for Insitu, which last February won back from AAI Corp. a potential $190 million Mid-Endurance Unmanned Aircraft System contract to supply SOCOM with UAV-based ISR services.
