PARIS — Magellium, a software company specializing in digital mapping, on June 1 appointed Michael Lawrence as managing director of the U.K. subsidiary, based at the Harwell Oxford Campus.
Lawrence is charged with building up British business, including with the Defence Ministry and its contribution to the European Space Agency.
Magellium, based in Toulouse, in southwestern France, had a 2011 net profit of 1 million euros on sales of 16 million euros ($20 million), up from 9.7 million euros in the previous year.
CEO Jean-Pierre Madier sees business growth in France with the delivery of 4D geophysical data on a planned successor to the Helios 2 military reconnaissance satellite.
