Lockheed Martin union workers who build the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and F-16 Fighting Falcon have accepted a new four-year contract, ending a two-month strike.

Workers are expected to return to their jobs July 2, Lockheed announced in a June 29 statement.

The strike began April 23 and included 3,600 workers, primarily at Lockheed’s Fort Worth, Texas, facility where it builds the F-35 and F-16. It also impacted workers at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., and Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Md., which are both conducting F-35 testing.
