WASHINGTON — Following the confirmation of Deborah Lee James Friday morning as the new US Air Force Secretary, SAIC announced that Doug Wagoner will be her replacement as a sector president at the company.

Wagoner, whose last assignment was to manage the office that divided SAIC into two companies, splitting off Leidos earlier this year, will take over responsibility for a portfolio that includes technology development and strategy for the McLean, Va.,-based company. He joined the company in 2007.

“Doug brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and operational insight that will enable him to effectively lead his sector as we build SAIC into the leading technology, engineering and enterprise IT services and solution provider,” SAIC CEO Tony Moraco said in a press release.

“From that experience and his time over the past 13 months helping to build our renewed company, Doug will continue to enhance SAIC’s support to our customers’ most important missions with technological innovations. We’re glad to have him on the leadership team.”
